LIVE-OUT VILLA STEWARD/ESS / BUTLER - CANNES - EARLY/MID-APRIL TO END OCTOBER        

An experienced villa steward/ess/butler is required for our regular client who is in residence at his luxury Cannes property from early-mid April through to the end of October.

The villa runs with an interior team of summer chef, two housekeepers plus the two service staff. The butler will also be required to drive the client’s Viano vehicle, transferring guests from the villa to the client’s yacht in Cannes.

Duties will include:

  • High level formal and informal table service

  • Floral and napkin arrangements for table settings

  • Wine service

  • Cellar management

  • Concierge service

  • General F&B service to guests throughout each day

  • Driving/transfers to and from Port of Cannes

  • Assist chef in kitchen when requested

  • Assist housekeepers when required

Requirements:

  • Excellent prior high-level F&B service experience

  • Excellent references

  • Have EU nationality – or a French social security number/carte de sejour

  • Good spoken English/knowledge of French a plus but not essential

  • Good knowledge of wines and their service

  • Good with floral and table art

  • Able to assist other departments when necessary

  • Clean driving license

  • Own transport as will be necessary when working late hours

  • Live within easy travelling distance of Cannes as this role does not offer accommodation

Each butler will work on a rota of two days on two days off throughout each week of the Principal’s stay meaning that they will work from early to late on their two day rotation, working Mon – Fri - 9am to 3pm when the Principal/guests are not in residence.

Salary: €3.5k net pm CDD

PERMANENT LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPERS X 2 - FAYENCE

Our European client is currently seeking two permanent, live-in housekeepers to work at his large rural estate in the Var. The property is currently under full renovation and when completed in early summer there will also be newly renovated residential staff accommodation.  The two housekeepers must be professional and experienced, able to work in a calm, efficient and discreet manner when the owner and his guests are in residence. This is a rural estate therefore candidates must feel comfortable living in the countryside and should have, or plan to have, their own transport allowing them to have a social life etc outside of their working hours.

Duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping

  • Laundry & Ironing - House/Guest/Staff Uniforms

  • Table setting, clearing etc

  • Informal table/guest service

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years previous 5* housekeeping experience

  • Excellent letters of reference from previous employers

  • Speak good English

  • A willing and flexible approach

  • Work well in a small team

  • Able to work in a rural environment

  • Able to work quietly and with discretion

This employer is generally in residence several months of the spring and summer and early Autumn during which time the household staff will be expected to provide a streamlined service and maintain the property in a meticulous condition.

LIVE-IN OR LIVE-OUT VILLA STEWARDESS - ST MAXIME - JUNE TO SEPT

Our American client is currently seeking a professional and highly experienced villa stewardess to assist his resident team with the summer season guests and visiting family. This property is extremely busy during some of the high season months. Working 40hrs/6 days per week with any overtime worked given as ‘time off in lieu’ during the quieter weeks.

The housekeeping and table service duties are split approximately 60% housekeeping/40% table and guest service therefore candidates must have extensive experience working in both types of roles.

Duties will include:

LIVE-OUT CARETAKER/TECH MANAGER ~ MONACO 

Our British clients in Monaco have recently purchased a property in the new Mareterra complex and, although the property is newly constructed, this client will be making several interior structural changes before taking up residence - at a time yet to be scheduled but expecting to be mid- 2026. They are hoping to quickly find a reliable and professional person able to provide a wide range of services between now until delivery of the completed property -  and beyond.

Duties will include:

  • Detailed oversight of the property development over the next 18 months

  • Preparing regular progress and ‘snagging’ reports to the UK office and Principal’s PA

  • Liaising where necessary with the local contractors

  • Working to the instruction of the Principal

  • Being the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Principal overseeing works and dealing with the French building company/contractors etc

  • Keyholding of the property

Requirements:

  • Fluent English and fluent French

  • Excellent technical knowledge

  • Extensive prior experience in a similar type of role

  • Able to shoulder full caretaking/keyholding responsibilities of the property

The European family are based in Monaco and like to use their vacation property both in and out of high season, visiting for long weekends/school holidays etc outside of the high season months. Working 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to work weekends when Principal is in residence for occasional weekends out of season.

Duties will include:

LIVE-IN HOUSE MANAGER/PERSONAL ASSISTANT — SAINT TROPEZ

Our client is currently seeking an experienced and multi-skilled House Manager/PA for his large luxury residence in St Tropez. The manager will be required to work 45 hrs per 5.5day week with occasional overtime being required when the property is at its busiest. The client is in residence at the property on a regular basis throughout the year. There are several already employed at the property and the staff includes an exterior/technical manager with whom the house manager will liaise.

Duties will include:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the household, and establish routines with the current team to ensure that these are met

  • Handle household accounts, budgeting, and inventory management

  • Coordinate staff schedules and ensure effective communication among the team

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that the property is well-maintained and secure

  • Manage household inventory

  • Arrange travel and transportation for the Principal

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion at all times

  • Protect the privacy and security of the household and its members

  • Liaise with the property’s exterior/technical manager

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years previous experience in a similar high-pressure role

  • A good level of both spoken English and French

  • Able to multi-task, assisting client/guests with their concierge needs whilst overseeing the running of the home and staff

TECHNICAL/EXTERIOR MANAGER — RAMATUELLE

Our returning client is seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Manager to provide exterior care and maintenance of his luxury property in Ramatuelle. Accommodation can be provided with this role, however the client would prefer to recruit a candidate who already lives locally. Working 45hrs per week, 5.5 days per week

Duties will include:

  • Taking the lead on all facilities management across the residence

  • Responsible for the procurement and management of external maintenance, cleaning and waste management

  • Liaising with the client’s security team

  • ‘Hands-on’ Electrical and HVAC maintenance

  • Understanding of heat exchanges and heat pumps an advantage

  • Responsible for managing external contractors

  • ‘Hands on’ general maintenance and repairs

Requirements:

  • A good level of both spoken English and French

  • Excellent prior experience in the field of maintenance and electrics

LIVE-IN BUTLER/MANAGER — TANNERON — START JUNE 

Our client is currently seeking an experienced, energetic and knowledgeable long-term butler who has the ability to also provide simple management skills to ensure the smooth-running of his large, newly renovated property in Tanneron and oversee the small interior team. The Western European employer spends several months each year in residence at the property, often alone or with two close family members; in the summer season there will be busy weeks/weekends with guests regularly staying at the property. Applicants must like and be comfortable around dogs as the Principal has two medium/large breed family dogs at the property.

Duties will include:

  • 5* table and guest services

  • Managing a small household staff (2 housekeepers/chef/handyman)

  • Liaising with external contractors and local suppliers

  • Budgeting and stock control

  • Ensuring smooth running of the property

  • Running errands and assisting with restaurant reservations etc

  • Arranging household provisions – newspapers, flowers etc.

  • Stocking of preferred employer and household items

  • Wine cellar management

  • Ensure 24/7 readiness of property for Principal/Guest arrivals

Candidates should either live very locally or if residing at the property they must be happy to live long-term in a quiet, relatively rural area. Travel for 2-3 months to Dubai may be requested by the employer.

​​PERMANENT CHEF (Live-In or Live-Out) — FAYENCE — START JUNE

An experienced chef is required for a new full-time role in the Var about 30 minutes from Cannes. The employer is seeking a highly skilled chef, preferably with Michelin-starred restaurant experience or recent training with a Michelin-starred chef, abe to provide a variety of international cuisines. This client enjoys vibrant, contemporary cooking and is looking for a chef who has a real passion for modern and eclectic cuisines as well as being able to prepare the more classical menus. He spends several months each year at his French property, including the summer season when he regularly invites family and guests to stay for short periods. The chef will be required to provide beautifully-presented and delicious cuisines; there will not be large groups of guests as this client generally enjoys a quiet and discreet lifestyle.

The chef will be working with a small team of household staff therefore it is important to the employer that his staff always treat each other with patience and respect; any disrespect of colleagues will not be tolerated. The Principal requires his staff to have calm, even temperaments and enjoy working in a team. This role offers on-site accommodation therefore the chef can either live locally (if their home is within 20-30mins travelling distance of the property) or be accommodated in the staff quarters currently being constructed at the property. Applicants must be happy to work and live in a  quiet, rural area.

Requirements:

  • Excellent experience in a similar role

  • Preferably some Michelin-starred restaurant experience

  • Enjoy preparing modern, eclectic cuisines, as well as classical menus

A skilled and experienced handyman is required to work at a large newly renovated  rural property near Fayence in the Var region. The European employer will be in residence for several months each year and the house will have a small permanent staff of three live-in housekeepers, chef and butler/manager.

General property maintenance, interior and exterior:

  • Light garden maintenance ( garden contractor employed 2 days per week)

  • Cleaning of all terraces and driveway

  • Cleaning and maintenance of garden and terrace furniture

  • Pool care

  • Setting up and clearing away of pool areas morning and evening

  • Cleaning of villa vehicles

  • Maintaining villa machinery/tools - exterior and interior

  • Simple electrical and plumbing repairs

  • Assist housekeeping staff with heavier jobs, cleaning windows etc

Requirements:

​​FAMILY OFFICE ACCOUNTANT — RAMATUELLE
Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified accountant who is familiar with the French taxation and salaries systems, running and regularly reviewing various expenditures/budgets and able to work in the client’s Ramatuelle office on a daily basis.
Duties will include:
• Organization of accounting procedures
• Accounting of company assets;
• Accounting for incoming fixed assets
• Accounting of business liabilities including accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Inventory accounting of stock items
• Petty Cash accounting with regular review of transactions in accordance with the requirements of the accounting firm's consultants to establish a balance sheet
• Knowledge of the principles of calculating social security contributions based on employee salaries
• Understanding of the French tax system, principles of VAT calculation, transfer of taxes to the relevant budgets.
• Annual inventory of companies' fixed assets and understanding of depreciation charges (based on communications with the accounting firm's consultants).
• Collection, analysis and consolidation of information for the preparation of the following year's budget as part of the budget process, in cooperation with the persons responsible for the different expenditure groups, and subsequent provision of consolidated information to the Director.
• Monthly monitoring of budget execution
• Regular monitoring of invoices and preparation of payment records with prior provision of information to the central office before acceptance of payments by the director
• Account for non-cash expenses from the bank cards of responsible persons by collecting, analysing and consolidating reports on payments made provided by these persons.

​​​Housekeeper/Villa Stewardess ~ Cannes/Mougins ON TRIAL

An experienced housekeeper is required to join a in interior team of 3 other staff working in a luxury property located between Mougins and Cannes. For cultural reasons only female applicants can be considered.

When owners not in residence working hours will be 9am-5pm - 5 days per week which includes a 1 hour meal break. When owners are in residence the housekeepers will be on an early shift/late shift rotation changing each week. The European employers are in residence for all of July and August each year and for an additional 3 months at different times throughout the year - excluding the period from November to March when they winter in the Alps and the Caribbean.
This role is predominantly hands-on cleaning/housekeeping - service skills only required for the periods when employers are in residence.

Duties will include:

  • 5* Housekeeping

  • Table settings/flowers etc

  • Informal table service

  • Assist with laundry on laundress’ day off

Requirements:

  • Excellent previous experience in a similar role

  • Good knowledge of informal table service

  • Ability to arrange flowers for table/house when required
